*Foster a supportive, safe, and loving environment based on mutual respect for all of God's creation.
*Create opportunities for serving the greater community.
Welcome! Located in the community of Grand Ledge, MI, St. Michael Parish School opened in September of 1961 with 144 students in first through sixth grades. Father Csaky, pastor from 1949 to 1966, was instrumental in having the school built as well as hiring Dominican nuns to teach the children. Many changes have occurred over the last sixty years... a wing was added in 1987 with three rooms for the growing parish's activities. Within ten years, those rooms were claimed by the addition of seventh and eighth grades.
Today we serve students in Preschool through Eighth Grade. We also have a childcare program, available Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm.
St. Michael Catholic School is an integral part of St. Michael Parish is affiliated with the Diocese of Lansing and is accredited by the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS). Students are taught by state certified teachers who serve St. Michael parishioners as well as students of all faiths.
Through the years, one thing remains: our commitment to providing a Catholic education that nurtures a relationship with Jesus Christ along with academic excellence.
Check out what one alum is saying about their time here:
"Going to St. Michael for 10 years (PS-8th grade) gave me a lot. I gained knowledge about virtues and was given many chances to practice them. The education I received set me up for high school and shaped who I am today. I am so thankful for all that I learned and all that was gifted to me through St. Michael."
