I am the 7/8 Grade Homeroom teacher. I believe that faith and education go hand in hand. I am here to help your child grow as a Catholic, a student, and a person. I have been a staff member at St. Michael Catholic School since 2015. I teach 5th-8th grade social studies and 6th-8th grade language arts. I attended Grand Valley State University for my degree in secondary education with a major in Social Studies.
Originally, I am from St. Johns, Michigan. I grew up on the family farm, was involved in 4-H and many other sports and activities. Today, my wife, Beth, and I live in Portland, Michigan, and are members of St. Patrick Parish. We have two sons, Ian and Spencer, with another child that we get to welcome into this world in January of 2021. In my "spare time" I enjoy reading, woodworking, sports, and board games.
